39 Oa) Ob) Oc) Od) What is the main difference between a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) and a Locked-in Retirement Account (LIRA)? The eligible investments that may be held within each type of account are different. Withdrawals may be made at any time from an RRSP but not from a LIRA. Minimum annual withdrawals apply to LIRAS but not to RRSPS. Income is tax sheltered when earned within an RRSP but not within a LIRA.
