Using the appendix nyour lab manual, determine the vapor pressure of water at the temperature of your water in the beaker (Note: cu may need to interpolate the value by taking the average of two values! The Piquid column must be converted to ir mHg using the density ratio of water : mercury which is 1.05/13.6. Multiply this ratio by the liquid height in millimeters (see sample problem in discussion). Now solve for the partial pressure of Hz. - PH2 = Pbarometric - PH2o - Piquid column
