change of reaction of solid zinc and copper sulphate solution.
a. Using the graph below, determine the maximum temperature
change by labelling the graph and recording its value.
b. Calculate the enthalpy change for this reaction using the
value for change in T from the graph data. Use the following
formula:
ΔH= (-4.18mΔT)/n
where m is the mass of copper sulphate solution and n is the no.
of moles of zinc used.
c. Explain why is it better to use zinc powder than a piece of
solid zinc in this experiment.
