You will see a list of Physics Applets that relate to this
course, for this exercise choose Charges and
Fields.
Click on the Play Button
Part I: Single Charges
Drag a single + charge from the bottom of the box to the center
of the browser window running the simulation.
The direction of the arrows indicates the direction of the
electric field, the intensity of the field is indicated by the
brightness of the arrows. Move the charge around and describe how
the arrows change as you do so. The arrows are fixed to points in
space and represent the filed at the centers of the arrows.
Describe the field and how it changes as you move. Snap a
screen shot of the field and insert it into your document file.
Drag the positive charge back to the box on the bottom, and insert
a – charge. Describe how the field changes, and take a shot of the
new field.
