L www С FIG. 1: LC circuit. A cylindrical solenoidal coil of radius a, self-inductance L, and with N turns is connected to a parallel plate capacitor with capacitance C and plate separation d. A capacitor is initially charged to Qo. Such a circuit is called a resonant circuit. Charge on a capacitor oscillates as Q Qo coswt, where w 1/VLC (current oscillates as I = 0 = -w sin wt). Find the power radiated per unit time. Assume that there is no interference between electric and magnetic fields due to the capacitor and the coil (i. e., Prad = Prad, capacitor + Prad. coil, so you can calculate power radiated independently). Assume that power losses are small, and don't immediately change the behavior of the circuit.
