Calculate the mitotic index for each tissue using the following equation and add it to the data table: Number of dividing cells MITOTIC INDEX (%) - 100% Total number of cells Note: o Number of dividing cells is the sum of the number of cells in prophase, metaphase, anaphase and telophase (mitotic cells) o Total number of cells is the sum of dividing cells (above) and non-dividing cells (interphase cells)
