One of my hopes for my students is that they will be able to explain their understanding of chemistry to others. Here, you can demonstrate your knowledge by recording yourself (or just the audio) answering the question below. If your access to technology precludes recording yourself, a written entry will be accepted. Directions: 1. Using your knowledge and experience with batteries consider a typical Ni-MH battery, perhaps the AAA battery in a graphing calculator, and: a. Predict the sign of the battery's Ecell [0.5 points] b. Predict the sign of the battery's standard Gibbs free energy, AGº [0.5 points] c. Predict if the battery's equilibrium constant, K, is greater than 1 or less than 1 [0.5 points) d.
