The aldolase reaction has a standard free energy change of 22.8 kJ. mol-1. a. Is the reaction favorable under standard conditions? b. What is the actual free energy change, AG, at 37°C, if the concentration of fructose-1,6- bisphosphate (F16BP) is 14 pm, the concentration of glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate (GAP) is 3.0 UM, and the concentration of dihydroxyacetone phosphate (DHAP) is 16 UM? c. Is the forward or the reverse direction of this reaction favored under these conditions? Explain.
