Thanks!
An engine uses 0.500 mol of a diatomic ideal gas (η = 5) with an
initial volume of V0 = 4.50 L and an initial
pressure P0 = 2.50 atm. The engine goes
through the following cycle:
(a) Find T for each state.
(b) Find P for each state.
(c) Find Qin, Wby, and ∆E for each step.
(d) Find Qin, Wby, and ∆E for the entire cycle using your
results from (d). Do the results meet your expectations?
(e) Use e = Wby/QH to find the efficiency.
(f) Use e = 1-Tc/Th to find the theoretical maximum efficiency.
How does this compare to your result from (e)?
