Consider the stirred tank heating process shown in the following figure: Q Heater The volume of the water, V. in the tank is constant equal to 500 liters, and the mass flow rate of water in and out, w, is constant equal to 100 kg/min. Following properties of liquid water may be assumed constant: density p +996 kg/m3, specific heat C = 4.18 kJ/kg K. Initially, the process is operating at steady state with T1,5 - 10 °C, and Qss - 15000 kJ/min. (a) Calculate the initial steady state temperature TS In degrees Celsius (b) At time, temperature is increased suddenly by 20 °c. Calculate outlet temperature T (in degrees Celsius) after 5 minutes
