The pump shown below discharges water to two elevated reservoirs one at an elevation of 150 ft. and another at 125 ft. using two pipes 1 and 2 respectively. The head loss in pipe 1 is 200, and that in pipe is 30 Q22 where Qi and Q2 are corresponding discharges through the pipes? The pump curve is given is Hp = 200-7.2 Q2 where Q is the discharge in the feed pipe from the supply reservoir at an elevation of 75 ft. The head loss in the feed pipe is 5Q?. If all the valves to the reservoirs are open find the discharges in each pipe and the horsepower output of the pump (25 points) Elev= 150 ft Elev = 125 ft 01 Elev = 75 ft Q2
