You have fully designed all of the columns and beams in Building 1. You are considering removing some of the level 1 floor (resulting in Building 2) which of the following should you consider: Level 3 Level 3 Level 2 Level 2 Level 1 Level 1 Building 1 Section Building 2 Section know all columns will still work, because the loads have either decreased or stayed the same in all of the columns. Columns C and D will have to be re-designed becuase they have less load, but also less strength. The level 2 beams will need to get stronger because of column shortening effects. Column A will have to be re-designed becuase the building is no longer symmetric.
