4. Pad foundation Design The isolated pad, figure Q4.1. is located on soil of an allowable bearing capacity of 150kN/m2 and the concrete is C35/45. The columns are 350x350mm, with characteristic loads as shown. Allow for a ground bearing slab 10kN/m² 900mm backfill (18kN/mº).
