- In a summer air-conditioning unit, 80% of return air (102 = 27°C; = 50%) is mixed with 20% of P2 outside air (tdi = 43°C; tw1 = 27°C) before entering the cooling coil. The space sensible and latent heat are respectively (0,= 23 kW; 0;= 5 kW). If the by-pass factor of the coil (BF= 0.2), determine: (a) the apparatus dew-point of the cooling coil; (b) the dry-bulb and wet-bulb temperatures of state 3; (c) the dry-bulb temperature and relative humidity of the supply air; (d) the fresh air mass flow rate in kg/s; and (e) the refrigeration capacity of the cooling coil.
