Problem 2 We have derived the formula for estimating the torque needed to raise a load using a square threaded power screw. ACME thread geometry Compare the torque requirement of a single start ACME threaded power screw 25-mm power screw is 25 mm in diameter with a pitch of 5 mm with the raising torque of a square threaded power screw of same diameter and pitch. Note: You have already determined the torque for the square threaded screw in Problem 1.
