An irrigation pump is to supply 0.5 m3/s of water to
a cornfield as shown. The water distribution system is 20 meters
above the surface of the water in the reservoir. The pipe length,
diameter, and roughness are specified in the figure. The sum of all
the minor loss coefficients is 8. Water must arrive at the
distribution system at a gauge pressure of 200 kPa. a) (15 pts):
What is the pressure increase across the pump? b) (10 pts): What is
the power added to the flow by the pump?
Please do it carefully. Thanks in advance
