Question 3 (25 marks) The 4 m, 15 kg homogeneous rod shown in Figure Q3 is free to move on the smooth horizontal and vertical guides as shown. The collars at A and B each have a mass of 2 kg each. The rod is released from rest in the position with 0 0 and nudged to the left to begin motion. When the angle is as shown in Figure Q3, the collar A impacts collar C of mass 3 kg. The coefficient of restitution between the blocks A and C is 0.5. The mass C is originally in equilibrium under the influence of its weight and the spring. The spring constant is 125 N/m.
