Referring to Figure QB3, a manipulator grips a workpiece of 2 kg and a radius of gyration of 80 mm. The workpiece is rotated from rest to 450 rpm in 3 seconds. Determine: Workpice Manipulaor foot Figure QB3 a) b) c) 0 d) the moment of inertia and the kinetic energy possessed by the workpiece at the speed of 450 rpm ; the angular acceleration of the workpiece ; the output torque and power exerted by the manipulator. Assumed they are constant at all speeds. When the workpiece is rotated at the speed of 450 rpm, the workpiece is transferred to a workstation by the manipulator for machining. Analyse whether the programmer needs to increase the output torque of the end-effector if the power of 15W is required for the machining process. Explain your reason(s).
