Monosaccharide fructose can be converted to fructose 1-phosphate
by enzyme fructokinase (Km=0.5mM). Fructose can also be converted
to fructose 6-phosphate by enzyme Hexokinase (Km=12mM). If fructose
is in mixture with equal amount of fructokinase and Hexokinase,
which product will predominant, fructose 1-phosphate or fructose
6-phosphate ? Why ?(assuming both enzymes have similar Kcat)
