The critical resolved shear stress in a silver single crystal is
6.5 MPa. Tensile stress is applied along the [1 1̅ 0] axis to cause
slip on the (1 1 ̅̅̅̅ 1)[1̅ 0 1] slip system of the crystal.
Determine: (a) The angle between the tensile axis and the normal to
the slip plane(̅1̅ ̅1̅ 1).
(b) The angle between the tensile axis and the slip direction[1̅
0 1].
(c) The tensile stress that is required to cause the slip.
