The crosspieces are 2 in. square in cross section and 4 ft long; they are separated by a distance of 1 ft. Estimate the moment exerted about the base of the pole in a uniform wind of velocity 25 mi/h. Assuming that the surface of the pole affects the results (smooth versus rough), perform calculations for both cases.
