A rectangular tube is to be fabricated by stereolithography. Outside dimensions of the rectangle are 59 mm by 86 mm, and the corresponding inside dimensions are 15 mm by 42 mm. The height of the tube (z-direction) = 87 mm. Layer thickness = 0.26 mm, and laser spot diameter = 0.22 mm. The beam velocity across the surface of the photopolymer = 621 mm/s. Compute an estimate for the total cycle time to build the part, if 20 seconds are lost each layer for repositioning and recoating. Assume 4 minutes for setup time. Give your estimate in terms of minutes.
