A pumping system must be specified for a lift station at a
wastewater treatment facility. The average flow rate is 110 million
liters per day and the required lift is 10 m. Non clogging
impellers must be used: about 65 percent efficiency is expected.
For convenient installation, electric motors of 37.5 kW or less are
desired. Determine the number of motor
/ pump units needed and recommend an appropriate operat ing
speed.
