Question 1 1) A district cooling system (DCS) distributes cooling capacity in the form of chilled water or other medium from a central source to multiple buildings through a network of underground pipes for use in space and process cooling. In Hong Kong, single-user DCS has been applied in various projects like the Airport, Science Park and university campuses. Now, for a new urban town development, large-scale multi-user DCS is proposed to serve the air conditioning of several end-users (including public, office, industrial and residential buildings). Please sketch the conceptual schematic of the DCS (water-side) and indicate the main system equipment together with their functions. (9 marks)
