Textbook solution says a) E{Y}=73T, b) P{Y=0}=0.2; P{Y=512T)=(0.8) 10 Problem 6 for context: In a congested packet-switched network, a packet has a probability of 0.8 of being a collision and having to be retransmitted. Collisions at each transmission are independent events.
