A Class C Chopper D A separately excited DC Machine is fed from a DC voltage source (Vdc) through a class C chopper. The DC machine parameters are: Ra, La, and Kap. Switch 1 of class C chopper is controlled by a pulse having period T and a duty cycle K while switch 2 compliments switch 1 operation. Draw the waveforms of the armature current (ia) then perform mathematical analysis to derive explicit expressions for the maximum (Imax) and minimum (Imin) of the machine armature current. Such expressions should be function of the machine parameters, the DC voltage supply, and the pulse period and duty cycle.
