A town currently has three districts. Uptown has a population of 10,130, Midtown has a population of 9150 and Eastown has a population of 720. An advisory council of 40 representatives will be selected. 1. How many representatives will each district have if they apportion with Hamilton's method? 2. How many representatives will each district have if they use Jefferson's method? 3. How many representatives will each district have if they use Webster's method? 4. Looking at your results from these 3 scenarios, in your opinion, which method should be used? Explain your reasons for your decision. You should include any blases there may be from where you are in the city. You may also discuss which methods may be easier to explain to the public when justifying a choice.
