The Proof Methods Showcase will be a typed document with four sections: 1. Direct Proof 2. Proof by Contrapositive 3. Proof by Contradiction 4. Mathematical Induction Each section should include: . a paragraph describing the process for the proof method common indicators for when the method is appropriate to use . a proof using that method (choose theorems from provided list)
Each section of your showcase document will be assessed based on the following criteria • Explanation of method includes description of method and when it is commonly used • Choice of problem is selected from list below and appropriate for the proof method you are aiming to illustrate • Proof method the proof illustrates the indicated proof method • Writing guidelines the proof is written in complete sentences and keeps the reader informed • Logic and reasoning the logic and reasoning of the proof is complete and correct • Technology uses LTeX appropriately to typeset the document
