COST (a) Find a way of accurately computing f(2) to avoid loss of significance for large 2 values of I. (3 marks) (b) Consider the equation f(T) = sin 1 - e* = 0. (1) Show that f has at least one root in the interval [-3.4, -3.0]. (ii) Use the Newton's method to find a root of f in the interval [-3.4, -3.0], correct to four decimal places. (2+4=6 marks)
