Jacob and Morgan are running from zombies when they reach the
bank of a river. The river is 35 m wide and has a current of 0.78
m/s [W]. Jacob swims at a rate of 0.92 m/s [S] and Morgan swims at
a rate of 1.22 m/s [S]. (show all work in steps)
a) Determine the resultant velocity if they both swim directly
across the river.
b) How far downstream would they end from the initial
shoreline?
c) If they want to end up directly across the shore, at what
angles should they swim?
