The U-Drive Rent-a-Truck company plans to spend $1,500,000 on 31 new vehicles. Each van will cost $35,000, each large truck will cost $70,000, and each small truck costs $60,000. Past experience suggests that they need twice as many vans as large trucks. How many of each type of vehicle can the company purchase? Part (a) On scrap paper set up a system of equations using the variables x, y, and z, where x is the number of vans, y is the number of large trucks, and z is the number of small trucks. Part (b) Solve the system using any method that we covered in class. List the solution for each variable, and summarize the solution to the problem using a complete sentence.
