Answer these questions: Q1 A professor wants to investigate whether there is a positive relationship between students' average score on quizzes and their scores on a final exam. He generates a random sample of these scores across all his classes. The sample generated is shown in the table. Final exam a. Average quiz score 95 score 92 C. 89 90 80 e. 93 99 92 75 82 90 91 77 85 83 85 98 79 80 83 92 87 86 86 What is the parameter of interest? b. State the null and alternate hypothesis. Upload the data into the appropriate area of Statkey (you can copy and paste the data table into the 'Edit Data' function). d. From Statkey, what is the notation and value of the relevant sample statistic? Generate a randomization distribution (at least 1000 samples), locate the value of the sample statistic and give its p-value. f. Is the p-value statistically significant at the 5% level? g. State the appropriate FULL conclusion for the hypothesis test in context (refer to slide 35 of Section 4.3). h. There was one additional data point (93, 62) which the professor did not include in his analysis. Include this data point in the dataset, then repeat parts (d) to (g) for the sample with the additional data point.
