6. Another population of beaver were sampled in South Carolina (Population #2). Biologists did not have the time nor money to collect a large number, so they randomly captured 22 beaver from several counties. They calculated a mean weight of x = 34.2 with a sample SD of s = 11.8. a) Determine a 90% Cl for Population #2 mean weight and assume a population SD (a) of 9.5 lbs. (the same as Population #1). xz 2 b) Determine a 95% CI for Population #2 mean weight without assuming you have a population SD available (use sample SD, 5). x c) Based on this data, are the mean weights for the 2 populations statistically the same (doesu for Population #1 fall within either of the CI's)? (4 bonus points)
