6) We make four independent measurements of the conductivity of a certain material. We assume that the measurement errors are normal and have zero expectation. We also assume that all measurement have the same standard deviation. The measurement values are X1 = 30, X2 = 26, X3 = 27 X 4 = 29. a) Estimate the conductivity and give a 95% confidence interval assuming that the standard deviation for one measurement is o = 4. b) Estimate the standard deviation assuming it is not known. c) Test the hypothesis that the conductivity is 26 on the 10%-significance level assuming the standard deviation to be known and equal to o = 4.
