The problem: examining wheat yields on experimental farm plots
with different soils. You want to see whether a new strain of
wheat recently developed in another part of the world will produce
different yields on different soil types. The new strain of wheat
is planted in experimental plots with sand, clay and loam
soils. The table below shows the wheat yields in bushels per
unit area. Is there a significant difference between the crop
yields in the different soil types, based on these 3 samples?
