Q1. An experimental still was built to investigate various methods of reducing the amount of a particular trace compound present in whiskies. this compound was considered to contribute seriously to the occurrence of hangovers and was felt that a significant reduction could confer a competitive advantage over other brands. One part of the investigation involved running ten batches through the still, dividing each batch in two, processing half the batch in the standard way and processing the second half under what are considered a superior method. The usual randomizaton procedures were carried out. The variable recorded is Trace Compound (ppb) in Batches. Analysis the data. New Process 36.3 32.7 39.3 43.5 32.4 39.6 29.4 41.1 36.0 27.3 Standard process 44.1 42.0 38.7 48.6 30.6 37.2 36.0 45.9 35.4 31.8
