I believe that the two most important principles are if it is
socioculturally relevant and having a well-trained staff. I think
the study needs to be socioculturally relevant so that the results
of the study are relevant and needed. In the article, the author
writes that "cultural attitudes have been shown to be important
factors in sexual behavior and aggressive/delinquent behavior"
(Nation, 2003). The author also states the importance of tailoring
the intervention to the study population as well as the general
population so the study is more accurate. The second most important
is having a well-trained staff. This could make or break the whole
study because you need trained staff that will follow procedures
and not provide false data. In the article, the author states that
"the implementation of prevention programs is enhanced when the
staff members are sensitive, are competent, and have received
sufficient training, support, and supervision (Lewis, Battistich,
& Schaps, 1990)" (Nation, 2003).
