1. Diverges,converges absolutely or converges conditionally?
x=1 to inf
(-1)^(x-1) / 5x
x=1 to inf
(x+1)(x^2 -1) / 4x^3 -2x +1
x=1 to inf
5(-4)^(x+2) / 3^(2x+1)
2. Sketch the parabolic arch y = h - (4h/b^2)x^2, -b/2 <= x
<= b/2, assuming h and b are positive. Then use calculus to
verify verify archimedes discovery.
