In a certain factory, a random sample of 49 male employees
showed a mean salary of Php25,000 with a standard deviation of
Php2,500. A random sample of 30 female employees showed a mean
salary of Php22,800 with a standard deviation of Php 1,900.
TEST if there is NO difference in the population mean salaries
for the male and female .
Is there a reason to believe that the true mean salaries are
equal? Test at .𝛼=.05
Note: You are asked here to TEST the DIFFERENCE of TWO
population MEANS. Use CASE 1. Why do we use CASE1?
