A sawmill can use 150 MW of thermal power. Detailed modelling of
the planned geothermal power plant design determines an electrical
conversion efficiency of 12%. The sawmill requires 280
kWh/m3 of thermal energy to dry the timber, and 125
kWh/m3 of electrical energy to saw the timber into
boards. Assume the same amount of timber must be dried and sawn
each year. Calculate how many m3 of timber we could
produce per year at our sawmill.
