Estimate the percentage of the Keplerian orbit speed that gas in
a protoplanetary disk orbits a star if a 7000 km radius
planetesimal gains a mass of 2.8x1019 kg during 1
orbit around the star by sweeping up this gas. Assume that the
planetesimal orbits the Sun at a distance of 6 AU and that the
density of the protoplanetary disk at this distance is
10-6 kgm-3. (Answer as a percentage 0 -
100, using 3 sig. figs.) Ignore gravitational focusing so that only
the gas that the planetesimal runs into is swept up.
