An elastic membrane is stretched tight across a horizontal circular frame of radius R = 3 m. The wave speed in the material is c = 0.5 m/s. At time t = 0, the membrane is given an initial displacement at all points at distance r from the center of f(r) = (r2 - 1)? for Osrsl and f(r) = 0 for 1<rs 3. The initial velocity is zero. a. Write out the Fourier-Bessel series solution for the vertical displacement u(r,t) using the given values of c and R. b. Write out the integrals for the coefficients of the series and evaluate them (by hand) using relations from problem 2 above, in terms of Jo and J (of the proper arguments) c. Visualize (make plots of) the solution at t = 0 (check: does it look like f(r)?), and also at t = 1-14 s, by integers (either snap-shots or an animation).
