There are 6 playing cards as follows: 2 of clubs, 3 of hearts, 4
of hearts, 5 of clubs, 6 of clubs, 7 of clubs.
1. How many ways are there to choose 2 of the 6 cards?
2. 2 cards are chosen at random. What is the probability
that:
(2i) Both are hearts (2ii) Both cards are different colours
(2iii) The sum of both cards is an even number (2iv) At most one of
the cards is red
3. The 6 cards are then randomly shuffled into a new order. What
is the probability that the first three cards are all clubs?
