Use Excel on the independent variable to: 3. Use Data/Data Analysis/Descriptive Statistics (check the box and include the label of your column) to find the mean, median, mode, range and standard deviation of the data. Do not revise the table that is generated. Highlight the cells of those statistics and their values. (2 points) 4. Construct a frequency table using a PivotTable. Use Excel to calculate the class width. Number of classes (bins) to use: 30-64 data values: 5 classes 65-129 data values: 6 classes 130-259 data values: 7 classes 260-514 data values: 8 classes 515-1024 data values: 9 classes 1025 or more data values: 10 classes Add a column to the right of the PivotTable that gives the relative frequency. Relative frequency must use Excel calculations. (6 points) 5. Construct a histogram of the data using a PivotChart from the frequency table and using the actual frequencies. Comment on its shape (symmetry, skewness, modes, etc.). (5 points) 6. Construct a pie chart using a PivotChart from the frequency table using the actual frequencies. Include an Excel-generated key and Excel-generated percentage for each category (4 points) 7. Use Excel formulas to give the five-number summary of the data. (5 points) 8. Construct a boxplot of the data (use the full set of independent data, NOT the five-number summary). Use the Excel Box and Whisker feature to create the boxplot! (2 points) Following directions/organization/clarity/neatness (4 points) This is a presentation of your statistical analysis! There should not be multiple occurrences of the things requested. I should not have to guess which table/chart/calculation is the correct one for me to grade.
