The Missouri Department of Education is interested in improving the curriculum for 5 graders and has hired Truman State University to create a new program of study. Following months of intensive research and discuss a new curriculum was developed. To test the new curriculum, two classes of 5 graders are randomly chosen from the Kirksville Elementary School with one class being given the current program and another being given the new program of study.
