Question 3. A four-point bending test (Figure 3-a) was conducted to determine the properties of the beam, the cross section of which is shown in Figure 3-b. The beam is made of an elastic-plastic material for which the yield stress is 300 MPa. In the middle section of the beam, the test setup provides pure bending about the horizontal axis.
