You need to design a controller for a coin operated cloth washer machine. The machine has a selector for simple, deluxe wash, rinse cycle, and spin cycle inputs). The washer output actions are: a. fill cold water b. fill hot water C. pump out water d. Low speed spin e. High spin spin f. Dispense soap g. Dispense bleach h. Dispense softener The deluxe cycle steps are: S0: wait to start --> S1: Fill hot water and Dispense Soap and dispense bleach --> S2: wash at low speed --> S3: drain water --> S4: Fill cold water and softener --> S5: Rinse at low speed --> S6: Fill cold water --> S7: Rinse at low speed --> S8 drain water and spin at high speed -> S9: End & stop The light cycle steps are: SO: wait to start --> S10: Fill hot water and Dispense Soap --> S2: wash at low speed --> 53: drain water --> S6: Fill cold water --> S7: Rinse at low speed --> 58:drain water and spin at high speed --> S9: End & stop The rinse cycle steps are: 50: wait to start --> S6: Fill cold water --> S7: Rinse at low speed --> S8: drain water and spin at high speed --> S9: End & stop. The spin cycle steps are: S0: wait to start --> S8: drain water and spin at high speed --> S9: End & stop. It is assumed that the states above describe a Moore machine whose outputs will be 1 to be active only if they are explicitly indicated. Otherwise the remaining outputs will be 0 in that state. Answer the following: a. How many signal outputs are needed by the controller to manage for the actions above ? b. How many options can the user select as inputs ? c. How many states are needed for a Moore machine for the delux cycle d. How many states are needed for a Moore machine for the spin cycle ? e. Draw the state diagram for all the cycles, show the ACTIVE Moore outputs in each state by using the letters from the list. For example the S1 outputs are "bfg". Include full diagram in paper. (50% of problem) f. Which are the Moore outputs for S10 ?
