I used to do give this homework assignment--have the students
toss a coin 50 times and write down the results (H for heads and T
for tails). Some students would do this, while others would just
write down a list of H's and T's without tossing a coin. I would
walk around looking at student answers and it would be quite easy
to tell which students actually did the hw! Below are two answers.
