Drawings II Assignment (AC) Scope: Drawing tools: AutoCAD 2017 and later Weight: 40% of AC Final Mark Uploaded: 03 April 2022 Submission Date: 24 April 2022 Groups: Work in groups of not more than 5 and not less than 3 per group New Proposed House (site plan and floor plan) Your design team, from CUT, is assigned to prepare a site and floor plan for stand number 157, and should suite the client's specific needs. The house must be a single storey unit with a total floor area not exceeding 140 m2 (excluding garage) along with a double garage attached to the house. The house and garage must be "L-shaped" with a pitched roof and bedrooms facing north for maximum sun exposure. All windows should be cottage (payne) styled windows, see figure 3. The client would also like a boundary wall along boundary line BC and CD. Trees on the property are protected species and should not be removed. Download the files "Stand 157.dwg" and "Title block" from eThuto which contains the relevant information provided by the surveyor, and standard title block used by your company. Note: First complete section one of the project (site plan) before completing section 2 (floor plan). 1. Site Plan Task Given: Figure 1 shows the incomplete site plan and geographic orientation of the stand (157), the boundary lines with their lengths and the position and depth of the municipal sewer connection. Figure 2 shows the building lines and the physical features of the stand/property. 5000 BAL 5900 Figure 2 Site specifications: Boundary line AB is the front of the stand and faces Monoko Street. Adjacent site numbers: Stand 158 to the NW, stand 189 to the SW and, land to the SE of stand number 157 is designated for a green area. Instructions: On a layout sheet (A3 landscape) draw, to scale 1:200, a complete site plan, using all the given information. The final presentation drawing must include, but not limited to: • Boundary Lines • Corner heights Building lines The street name and width • North point (recreate your own style) Stand and adjacent stand numbers • Proposed new house (max 140 m², excluding garage) with outer lines (perimeter) only, and hatching • Proposed garage (double garage) with outer lines only, attached to the house, and hatching • A drainage line from the back of the house for waste water to the municipal sewerage connection point, showing the inspection eyes (IE) and rodding eyes (RE) along the line • A driveway (include hatching) connecting the garage with the street entrance • A boundary wall along boundary line BC and CD All physical features Assessor Moderator

3. Additional Drawing Requirements The company's title block must be included on the both A3 sheets (Site plan and Floor plan). The title block must include the group names and student numbers, company logo (.jpeg image) and information, drawing scale, and project information (client, designer, site address etc.). The drawing plans should contain presentable and appropriately sized annotations (text, dimensions and leaders). Remember to include your own designed north arrow. Any information not provided may be assumed. Your group should decide on the layers to be used and named; however, your group should include the following hatching patterns where necessary: • ANS132 - All walls (interior walls = 110mm and exterior walls =220mm) • AR-HBONE - All paved areas 4. Submission Requirements Each group (only one member can submit) should prepare the following documents for submission: Printed A3 plan/s of the new proposed house plan. (hand in with the lecturer) • DWG and PDF files (site plan and floor plan pdf) applicable to project (submit/upload via Ethuto)
