Theoretical maximum specific gravity = 2.60 Bulk specific gravity of aggregate = 2.71 Absorption is negligible. Calculate VTM, VMA, and VFA of the above specimen. 5. (5 pts) A glass fiber reinforced composite consist of 70% of glass fiber and 30% of epoxy. The modulus of elasticity of the glass fibers and epoxy are 72 GPa and 7 GPa, respectively. Calculate the modulus of elasticity of the composite in the fiber direction.
